How matching works
Eligibility first, then six signals, then two human decisions.

Publish an opening
A promotion posts an event and the fight openings on it — weight class, rule set, format, and the experience range it will consider. Openings stay private drafts until the promotion opens them.

Rank eligible fighters
Database rules cut the field to fighters who actually qualify and chose to be visible. A weighted scorer then orders them on six signals — experience, rule set, record, availability, location, and trust. Inside 14 days of the event, on an open opening, availability weighs heaviest.

Both sides review and decide
The ranking is a shortlist, not a decision. The promotion chooses who to approach, the fighter sees the full terms before responding, and nothing is booked until both fighters accept.
Rankings assist human decisions. FightMatching does not guarantee a fighter's safety, eligibility, licensing, medical clearance, or regulatory approval — those remain the responsibility of the promotion, the fighter, and the sanctioning body.

Fighter Passport
A fighter's record, physical stats, and disciplines. Private until published; date of birth never leaves the private record.
Availability windows
Fighters set the dates, weight classes, and rule sets they will accept, and can pause visibility at any time.
Event operations
Draft, publish, and cancel events. Manage openings and sent opportunities, and propose matchups, from the event page.

Consent is a database rule here, not a promise in a policy page.
- Nothing moves without the fighter
- A fighter is only discoverable while they choose to be. An offer reaches them only if they are. A matchup needs both fighters to accept before it can be confirmed.
- Terms are captured, not edited
- Offers and proposals record the terms as they stood. If the event materially changes, they are invalidated rather than quietly rewritten underneath the people who agreed to them.
- Contact details stay private
- Email, phone, and address are never shared with a promotion. Everything happens through the platform.
